General¶
If when you try to start a recording, whether it is with Record Snippet or with Record Test Case, the toolbutton and menu options are disabled then the cause of this depends on which option you are trying to use.
Record Snippet¶
For this option to work, then first make sure that the AUT has been launched with Run > Launch AUT. Then after the AUT has been launched, you need to make sure that the focus is inside a test script editor. After that, the Run > Record Snippet option will be enabled.
Record Test Case¶
For this option to work, then make sure that the AUT is not already be running, if it is then you need to stop the AUT first by going to Run > Quit AUT. Then you can go directly to Run > Record Test Case to start the recording of the test case.
